(Adukhan) 44 : 12
رَبَّنَا اكْشِفْ عَنَّا الْعَذَابَ إِنَّا مُؤْمِنُونَ
Our Lord! You remove from us the punishment; indeed we are believers.
When the opposition of Maccan pagans became intolerable towards the Messenger and the Message, Messenger prayed Allah to test them with famine just like the brothers of prophet Yoosuf were tested with. Thus there happened a famine which caused to experience to them just like a smoke covered all over there. Then they requested Messenger to pray Lord for removing the punishment from them.
